Hungary had a surprisingly tough day against the Germans, who played very skilled in defense and could rely on a great Indra Reck on the goalkeeper
position. An early Larissa Engel lead was tied by Boglarka Bartok late in the second period, after Hungary put their opponents under huge pressure over most of the matchtime.
Just in the third period, Germany was unable to keep up the Hungarian pace any more and finally lost 2:4.
