The Spanish team was much closer to a sensation than expected before. They even got the lead early, which was funnily scored by Barbara Baeza Nadal, who was training in Cologne, Germany, during the last season. With a little bit of luck, Germany was able to tie the score before the first break and even lead by one after fourty minutes. Finally, the German team was better in the third period which secured their lead.
