Japan played a fantastic game against the high favourites from Hungary. Nearly all over the match, they caused huge problems on their opponents by playing forechecking and pressing as well as a very compact defense. Hungary acted quite nervous and had huge problems to stay in the game. Finally, Japan won by one goal, which kept them on third place of the table, while Hungary became second just behind the Netherlands, who took profit of their high victory against the Asians.
