Short after the official opening ceremony, Switzerland faced the home team in front of a some 500 people crowd. The Swiss team dominated the Danish in the first half, but then gave the hosts the chance to come back in the game. Finally, Martina Mätzener even wasted a penalty shot in second period, but Swiss never lost control of the game and deserved the high 9:2 victory.
