At least for the final, a tight match between two equal-strengthed teams was expected before. Finland had a great start, leading first by a power play goal in the third minute, but Sweden got in the lead just eight minutes later. After Finland tied the score in the middle of second half, the yellow-shirted Swedish team got the lead back just before the second break and were stronger in the final period to become the 2007 World Champions.
