Jonas Björkman/Max Mirnyi - Mahesh Bhupathi/Todd Woodbridge 6:2 6:3

My original report from www.sports-india.com:
The match started quite well for our guys. MM was to serve and was forced to take the deuce. Nevertheless, we had no break point, as JBMM made the next two points. Toddie and Hesh had no problems at Hesh's serve, so the score was 1-1. They could not take advantage of an 0-15 and 15-30 at Jonas's serve, but therefore JBMM converted their first break point at TW to serve, 30-40, by a beautiful passing shot. Even when Hesh and Todd seemed to have a chance to come back, their oppoents were the stronger ones today: Service Mirnyi, 30-30, two great serves, no chance - and the score was 4:1. It looked like serious trouble now, as Mahesh was 0-30 behind at own serve afterwards. Hesh and Todd switched to I-formation at own serve, which they mostly kept on now during the whole match (Unfortunately, I have to admit that this choice was at least just very slightly more successful than choosing the standard one). Todd struggled more and more and committed more and more unforced errors against very strong opponents who did not commit many mistakes. After Björkman won his serve without any problems, Todd was to serve at 2:5. He acted very unlucky now, so that Mirnyi and Björkman could easily convert the first break and set point at 0-40.
It could have even been a more terrible day. After Mirnyi won his first service game in the second set, Hesh was 15-40 behind at own one. But he gave a great fight and made four in a row. No chance to break again at JB's serve. Toddie served now at 1:2 and looked quite fine, but after a half-volley error at 40-30 and an opponent net chord hit, he got broken again after he committed a double fault. He slammed his racket off court and was called for a racket violation. It is qzute easy now to make short report about the rest of the match: Björkman and Mirnyi played too strong. All over the match, Hesh and Todd did not have a single break point. At the end, the score was 6:2 6:3 for Björkman and Mirnyi.
Mirnyi and Björkman really played fantastic doubles tennis, so there is no need to worry about Hesh and Toddie. Nevertheless, Todd Woodbridge had a terrible match and was definitely the week sport in the Austalian-Indian team.
