Estonia - Slovenia: Mait Kunnap - Grega Zemlja 3:6 2:6 6:3 7:6(2) 3:6

After their honorable doubles performance on Saturday, Estonia very surprisingly was in a great position for the Sunday matches. On the other hand, the definite favourites Slovenia were under huge pressure for the final singles matches.
The first two sets started well for the guest team. Mait Kunnap did manage to play the tennis he showed in the Friday match, acted nervous and was thus not competitive in the first two sets. Especially the first set result was very charming regarding to the solid strength of Grega Zemlja's tennis. In the third set, Kunnap faced another series of breakpoints again, but somehow managed to stand all of them, while Zemlja was just weak in one single game - and got broken in there, which made the match go into the fourth set.
The fourth set was definitely the best tennis shown on the whole weekend. After another nervous start by Mait Kunnap, both players played extremely well and gave their opponents hardly any chance at own serve. Nevertheless, Kunnap needed to save two break points against his serve in the twelth game, before he won the tie-breaker. The fifth set started with two strong players again, but in the seventh game, Kunnap comitted two double faults (which was his problem throughout the whole game) which made him loose the game - and his spirit. Finally, he was even broken for a second time to loose the match in a memorable five-setter, which was finally won by the Slovenian, who showed impressive solidity and nerve strength.
