After a longer period without Davis Cup reporting (also because the British LTA refused me to grant an accreditation for the UK-Israel tie),
I went to Tallin on the Easter weekend 2007 in order to report from the Estonia-Slovenia tie.
In the first match, Estonian Jürgen Zopp ranked in the 1500's was the definite underdog against the some 300th ATP-ranked Grega Zemlja. Nevertheless,
young Estonian-German Zopp managed to break the favourite player in the very first game - and as he fantastically served in the first set, he had no problems
to bring his team in the lead after one set. Unfortunately, the longer the match lasted, the longer Zopp's serve got weaker. Finally, he got broken in the final game of the second
set to loose 4:6 and could not keep up with Zemlja in the third set tie-breaker, before his spirit was broken in four sets.
