My original fanclub report taken from
Sports-India.com:
Harsh started well in third set by upsetting EE's first serve game after he struggled with his own one. Unfortunaltely, EE took his chance in the third game
of the match and scored the re-break. Nothinh special happened until 3-3, when Harsh saved one BP against him
and got back the lead with his third opportunity to finish it. He just had a
single break point, which as well was a set point leading 6-5. So it was the first time for a tie-break.
Harsh looked quite well in first-set tie-break, but nevertheless, he was not able to score the
points. At the end, two unforced errors decided the set.
Harsh started well again in second set by breaking EE's serve. Harsh put much pressure on EE's
serve but could not take the chances - and sometimes was
too unfortunate, too. Nevertheless, he gave Ervin no chance in the second set and was
even able to upset him for a second time when he lead 5-3.
After an injury time for EE (shoulder) which at least showed no viewable harm on him, both players saved their serves quite easily
though Harsh put more pressure on his
opponent again than vice versa. Leading 3-2 with EE to serve, Harsh was very unlucky not to break
his opponent - two very close shots gave EE the opportunity to tie the score.
Leading 4-3, Harsh again put that much pressure on the Swede that he got chances to break. First he
wasted an volley unforced, but after he could deuce a 40-30 and two Ads server, he took his second break point
of the game to lead 5-3 and serve for the match.
But match was not over, EE came back taking the first
break point at 0-40 immediately afterwards. But Harsh still kept on fighting. He even had two
match points at 6-5, when EE was serving.
But again, it was tie-breaker time, in which Harsh showed up mentally stronger and won
the stunning some 2:40 hours fight.
