Niedersachsen-Rundfahrt 2003: Goslar-Osterode (206km) (Teil 1)

On April, 24th, 2003, the second stage of the Niedersachsen-Rundfahrt took place. The drivers had to go from Goslar to Osterode, whose distance is about 35km, on a 206km track with eight mountain point stages through the Harz mountains. Nevertheless, most spectators might be very disappointed about that stage, as there have been really hard difficulties during the stage, but the last 36 kilometres have been downhill or on even ground, which gave the sprinters a chance to connect back to the top of the field before Osterode. Here are two pages of pics from that stage.

After starting in Goslar, the cyclists had to go uphill via Bad Harzburg to Torfhaus. The first pics are from Dammhaus, a restaurant near Altenau.

After passing Osterode for the first time, the drivers had to go uphill on the B241 road to Clausthal. Near Heiligenstock the second mountain scoring was taken, the pics were shot in that area.

After passing Buntenbock and Clausthal, the stage switched to the B242 to Wildemann before going to Bockswiese. Some kilometres to recover, here are some pics from the B242 near Unterste Innerste.
