SV Südharz Walkenried vs. Eintracht Braunschweig 0:2 (0:2) (page 1)

After beating Goettingen and Gifhorn, the two teams faced each other on August, 19th. The winner of the regional NFV Cup is qualified to the German Soccer Cup. Braunschweig, playing third division, was the definite favorite over the hosting "Südharz" team from Walkenried, which plays in a regional fifth division.
The hosts had a great chance at the beginning, but Braunschweig could manage a two goal lead in the first half. The match was - in order to avoid the word "boring" - definitely a tactically dominated one. After a good chance for Walkenried at the beginning of the second half, the match got quite uninteresting again. Just in the last minutes of play, there were some chances for both teams.
Braunschweig managed exactly what to do in such kinds of matches: travel there, win the match and then face home. Not a stunning match, but like expected.
