After the men's national friendly match, Hamburg team Alster and Berlin faced each other to determine the new German champion. Berlin put Alster under pressure nearly the whole time, but Club an der Alster got the lead surprisingly after ten minutes. To be honest, the match was quite boring, but Berlin started better in second half and deserved to tie the score after 45 minutes. Twelve minutes later, Berlin was given an disputed penalty shot by the unconcious-acting referees. Instead of looking for a chance to tie the score again, Hamburg was pushed into their own half and nearly did not have a single chance until the end. Thus, Berlin derservedly can call themselves the new German champion.
