This match was a stunning start for the Gliesmarode matchday. The hosting team won the first set by getting the lead in a very balanced set quite late. Second set was just fantastic, Duisburg lead nearly throughout all the set, but Gliesmarode managed to tie the score at 18-18 and even had match point when the lead 19-18. Gliesmarode wasted two more match points and served at the final point in second set. Gliesmarode was definitely better in third set, so they won the showdown in a fantastic 90 minute-fistball thriller.
