In my basketball debut match, fourth Göttingen hosted league leader Bremerhaven in the second German Premier League. The game started quite funny as it had to be posponed, because the ring of the basket was not levelled and had to be repaired. The BG74 started extremely well and already hat a seven point-lead after two minutes. Though they could keep it during the first quarter, they did not play consistently in the second and third quarter whereas the guests improved steadily. Two minutes to go, Bremerhaven was still two goals in front. By being better in the "traditional foul crap" at the end of the match, Göttingen closed up to four points.
In a great match, Göttingen was punished for wasting their lead and playing twenty weak minutes.
