Bilgin Defterli was the player of the match on this first Regionalliga West matchday scoring a pure hattrick in the first period. While Brauweiler was the better team in the first half, they acted too nervous in the second. Thus, Coesfeld deserved to come back in the game. Short before the final whistle, Brauweiler's Nicole Bender was sent off when she protested after receiving a yellow card for a foul.
