In the first match at second matchday, which was held in Bottrop, Switzerland surprised to control the first half the longer it lasted. Deservedly, Rahel Kiwic gave her team the lead, but Sweden's Amanda Wegerman tied the score short before halftime. Sweden also should have awarded in first half injury time, but the Turkish referee refused it. In second half, no more goals have been scored, so that after this tied match, Germany just needed to beat Poland to qualify into the European Championships and the World Cup.
