After a quite even beginning of the first half, in which Neuenahr was slightly lucky to lead by two goals early, the host team took more and more control over the match the more the match took. On the other hand, Saarbrücken did not act straight-forward enough to put enough pressure in Dietmar Schacht's team. Only Nadine Kraus was able to score for her team by a wonderful long-distance shot late in the second half.
