On the 2007 Boxing Day, the FCR Duisburg 2nd Bundesliga team hosted their traditional Christmas Tournament. While the hosts faced
the SVG Neuss-Weißenberg (who became 2nd in the group), Bundesliga team Wattenscheid 09 and Eintracht Solingen, Group B was lead by 2nd Bundesliga team
FFC Brauweiler, who could not succeed to make it to the playoff-round robin against Regionalliga RW Merl and Borussia Mönchengladbach, who are playing in the 4th class
Verbandsliga. The eigth team in the premilary round was Fortuna Dilkrath, who also needed to play in the playdown round robin.
