After Brauweiler lost 2:6 at the first matchday, they were supposed to be beaten with a high score in the second matchday match against last-season second-placed Duisburg. Nevertheless, Brauweiler showed a good fight and a very reasonable defense in the first half. The final score of 1:8 was too high and a bit lucky for the Duisburg away team, who still did not seem to play a really convincing matchplay.
