I thought Riga to be the definite favourite team in this match. Riga had a hard group with Dietlikon, Holmila and Liberec
and became last in their group though they played good floorball.
When I arrived at the arena, it was the 16th minute in the first period, the score was 1:0. In the first half, Riga shot two
more goals giving them a 3:0 lead. While the Danish defense seemed to work quite well in the first 20 minutes, it
got more and more major problems with the dominating Rigan team. There were five goals in the first eleven minutes of second
period that made the Underducks the underdogs. Though the Danish girls more and more lost their will to fight against the
loss, they just got one more goal in the middle period.
The third goal was quite even-strengthed. Riga managed to score their tenth goal in 55th minute, but when the ball rolled
slowly over the Latvian goal-line in 59th minute, the "Lauvas" seemed to wish to give their opponents an unforgettable
good-bye scoring four more goals in the last 69 seconds.
Riga was the better team all over the match and the tournament, so they deserved to become seventh best team in European Cup. The Underducks
were too weak to compete in it.
