Unfortunately, this game had only very few spectators, maybe because of the high ticket prices. In the first period, none of the teams were able to score a goal, it was very even-strengthed. Chur's enourmous fighting spirit was honoured in the 22nd minute when they scored the first goal of the game. Just three minutes after that, Haninge stroke back with two goals within 50 seconds. Chur wasted a two-man-advance situation, but in the 34th minute Claudio Weingart tied the score again.
The second period was great, the third period started a bit more quiet, with both teams waiting for their oppenents to make the deciding mistake. The perioded seemed to end without a goal and the spectators might already have been thinking about another overtime period, when Haninge destroyed Chur's hopes 94 seconds before the regular match time ended. Chur took out their goalie to play with six field players, but Haninge scored an empty-net goal.
Again, Chur was not awarded for their great spirit. Both teams would have deserved the win.
